Surf Scoter Restoration Project for Cosco Busan Oil Spill Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Pla: Funds under this award are to be used to conduct sidescan sonar surveys and data processing for derelict gillnets in the Baynes Sound region of British Columbia, derive targets from the surveys and conduct dive surveys to verify targets, describe and video document targets, record all information for entry into a database; prioritize for future removal, after data analysis, gear identified in dive survey investigations and sidescan sonar images; enter targets into the WA State derelict fishing gear database; and produce a report that includes an introduction, methodology, results, conclusion and recommendations for next steps.
