Team Rubicon Heavy Equipment Safety Training Program: As part of fulfilling Executive Order 13518 â¿¿ Veterans Employment Initiative, the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has identified an opportunity to partner with Team Rubicon (TR) in the operations of heavy equipment. This initiative focuses on the integration of veterans into the civilian workforce with the intent to provide training opportunities and help develop a heavy equipment operations training program for its organization and members looking to support their local communities and respond to natural disasters across the country and abroad. The recipient, Team Rubicon (TR), is requesting $50,000 per year for three years to establish a cooperative agreement with the National Wildlife Refuge System to create a heavy equipment operations safety training program. This program will focus on the development of safety instructors and their ability to deliver the USFWS heavy equipment safety training program to its members. This award is entered into under the authority of Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956 and the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, for the development and implementation of programs for the benefit of fish and wildlife species and their habitat (16 U.S.C. 661 and 742 et seq.), Fish and Wildlife Improvement Act of 1978, as amended (16 U.S.C. 753).
