Thailand -Strengthen the Control of Infectious Diseases among Burmese Migrants and Local Thai Populations along the Burma-Thailand border: The objective of this program is to strengthen the control of priority infectious diseases among Burmese migrants and local Thai populations along the Burma-Thailand border by expanding access to good-quality health services (including diagnosis, treatment and follow up, and community outreach) and improving both community awareness (e.g. causes of disease, methods of prevention, appropriate care-seeking behaviors) and participation in disease control efforts. For this RFA, the term "infectious diseases" includes conditions such as tuberculosis (TB), malaria, dengue, lymphatic filariasis and other parasitic worms, diarrheal disease, and pneumonia, but not HIV/AIDS which is being addressed by other activities.
