The Last Green Valley, Inc.: This is NOT a request for applications. This is an announcement that NPS has fulfilled its mandated obligation to award this cooperative agreement with The Last Green Valley, Inc. for their work within the corridor assisting the State of Connecticut and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, communities, organizations, and citizens of the Last Green Valley in:
a) The preservation and interpretation of historic resources
b) Assisting in the development of recreational programs and resources
c) Preserving and ensuring the appropriate use of lands and structures
d) Increasing public awareness of and appreciation for the historical and architectural resources and sites in the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor
e) Establishing and maintaining visitor centers or other interpretative exhibits
f) The restoration of historic buildings
g) Encouraging appropriate economic and industrial development
h) Encouraging local governments to adopt land use policies consistent with the management of the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor
i) Assisting State and local governmental entities with signage identifying access points and sites of interest throughout the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor
a) The preservation and interpretation of historic resources
