- Grant Description
- -Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, solicits applications from institutions/organizations that propose to enhance collaborative research among basic scientists and clinician researchers in female pelvic floor disorders. The purpose of the FOA is to attract more basic scientists into the field of female pelvic floor disorders, to establish relationships between clinicians and basic scientists, and to promote research that has the greatest clinical applicability for addressing unknown aspects of physiology and pathophysiology of pelvic function. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Research Project Grant (RO3) award grant mechanism and it will run in parallel with a FOA of identical scientific scope using the RO1 mechanism, RFA-HD-08-008.
