U.S. Consulate General Kolkata: Emerging Markets Summit to Promote Trade Connectivity: The United States, through its Indo-Pacific Economic Corridor strategy, is encouraging South and South East Asian nations to improve regional connectivity, ease trade barriers and open up new market and investment opportunities in the region. The United States is committed to bringing together the countries of the region, private sector firms, and prominent international financial institutions to identify where U.S. engagement could make the most difference.
