U.S. EPA, Region 5 Tribal Air Grants: Tribes seeking to establish an environmental presence on their reservation(s) have been provided the ability and resources to do so through the General Assistance Program which is maintained through the Indian Environmental Office and used to support infrastructure and capacity building efforts. As focus shifts to more air-related concerns, an alternative funding mechanism has been provided in Section 103 of the CAA in order to support Tribal interest in conducting various projects to develop initial determinations regarding air quality throughout Indian Country.
