U.S. Embassy in the Philippines NOFO for WWII Programming: The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines announces an open competition for individuals, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, and academic institutions interested in submitting proposals to organize a series of activities and programs to commemorate the shared history, heroism, courage, and friendship of Americans and Filipinos during World War II. Proposals should highlight significant WWII events, 'untold stories,' and any elements of U.S.-Philippine collaboration that provide unique context, perspective, and meaning to the long-standing alliance between the Unites States and the Philippines and highlight the deeply-rooted foundations of the current relationship. The activities should bring together and engage key audiences from government, the industry/business sector, international organizations, academia, and civil society through programming such as, but not limited to: historical/cultural exhibits, film screenings (movies/documentaries) and lecture series, book discussions, information campaigns through partnerships with U.S. companies in the Philippines, youth and pop culture programs, various media platforms (broadcast media, social media, etc.) and other types of public outreach campaigns.
