US Platform to Measure Influenza Vaccine Effectiveness against Laboratory-confirmed Influenza-associated: The goal of this funding announcement is to establish a sustainable network of US institutions that can obtain hospitalization data and provide accurate estimates of annual influenza vaccine effectiveness (VE) to prevent

Participating institutions will coordinate enrollment of adult hospitalized patients with acute respiratory illness (ARI), confirm influenza infection using sensitive laboratory-based molecular assays, and estimate VE using a test-negative study design.
