USAG Hawaii Recycling Program Field Support: USAG-Hawaii Recycling Program Field Support Support the USAG-Hawaii DPW Environmental Division in implementing pollution prevention activities and provide technical support for the Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) at Pohakuloa Training Area. The goal of the QRP is to minimize waste streams bound for the municipal landfill and incentivize recycling to help achieve diversion goals. Support provided will include performing field surveys of facilities to evaluate and implement recycling measures, participating in public outreach and educational efforts, and consolidating and preparing report submittals as required by permits and applicable state, and federal laws, regulations, and executive orders pertaining to recycling and solid waste management. This project supports environmental compliance, pollution prevention, and installation solid waste diversion goals through an active outreach program to installation personnel and facilities to raise awareness and motivate personnel to recycle.
