USAID/Uganda Combatting Wildlife Crime Activity: See complete RFA for detailed information. The goal of the CWC Activity is to reduce wildlife crime in Ugandathrough the following three interrelated outcomes: Outcome1: New and enhanced coordination mechanisms and interagencycooperation improve enforcement and data-sharing. Outcome2: Institutional strengthening, capacity building, andsystems approaches enhance wildlife crime deterrence, detection, enforcement,and prosecution. Outcome3: High quality data and analysis informs anti-wildlifecrime approaches. TheStrengthening Systems and PublicAccountability Activity (SSPA), currently under development through apartnership between USAID/Uganda and DFID, will support a fourth outcome—corruption that enables wildlife crime isreduced—by promoting transparency, constituency building, and otherapproaches to combat wildlife crime-related corruption. The CWC and SSPAactivities will engage in joint work planning and coordination throughoutimplementation. The CWC activity will support United StatesGovernment (USG) interagency partnership efforts to implement a collaborativeapproach to combating wildlife trafficking in Uganda, taking into account theGOU's strategic priorities, USG's comparative advantages, and the efforts ofnon-USG actors, including but not limited to, Ugandan counterparts ingovernment, the private sector, civil society, and other donors
