USAID s Workers Empowerment Program (USAID s WEP): The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bangladesh is seeking applications to improve labor conditions in the ready-made garment industry though a three-year cooperative agreement with an estimated value not to exceed $5 million. The Workers Empowerment Program (WEP) has two distinct components: Component 1 Improving Representation in the Work Place and Component 2 Promoting Rights and Interests in Targeted Garment Communities which will contribute to USAID/Bangladeshs goal to improve labor conditions and strengthen independent worker organizations in Bangladesh's ready-made garment sector.
