Understanding and Improving Diagnostic Safety in Ambulatory Care: Incidence and Contributing Factors (R01): Despite the growing interest and rapid pace of recent achievements, not much is known with a high degree of confidence about the prevalence of diagnostic failure in its various manifestations. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits applications from research institutions and their investigators to conduct Health Services Research Projects (R01) to gain a better understanding of the complexity and incidence of diagnostic failure and its associated costs and harms.
