Upper Truckee River Tahoe Pines Campground Restoration Project: The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Grant Agreement to the California Tahoe Conservancy under the authority of Catalogue for Domestic Financial Assistance (CDFA) 15.543, Lake Tahoe Regional Wetlands Development Program, Public Law 108–7, Division D, Title II, Department of the Interior, Water and Related Resources. Estimated total amount of the agreement is $300,001.00 for Fiscal Year 2017. The purpose of this project is to restore habitat and scenic conditions on the State-owned property by improving water quality discharge to the Upper Truckee River and Lake Tahoe by reestablishing hydrologic processes, removing various disturbances, and revegetating unstable areas. The principal objectives of the project are to: (1) Restore natural and self-sustaining river and floodplain processes and functions; (2) Protect, enhance, and restore approximately 3.9 acres of stream environment zone habitats; (3) Restore and enhance 900+ feet of stream channel for fish and wildlife; (4) Improve water quality discharging to the Upper Truckee River and Lake Tahoe through enhancement of natural, physical and biological processes. (Refer to Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No. BOR-MP17-N0008 for additional information) A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance is based on Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14 (B)(2) &(4) and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
