Urban Disaster Risk Reduction (Neighborhood Approach) and Disaster Response Capacity Building in Haiti: Pursuant to the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended (FAA), the United States Government (USG), as represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA), Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) is seeking full applications to support or stimulate the activities described in this Annual Program Statement (APS).The purpose of this APS is to disseminate information to enable prospective applicants to decide whether to seek OFDA funding in support of DRR initiatives in Haiti related to Program Area I) operationalizing a “Neighborhood Approach” to reduce urban disaster risk in metropolitan Port-au-Prince (PaP) and/or Program Area II) building the capacity of the Government of Haiti (GoH) at the department-level to prepare for and respond to disasters, and to assist those who decide to seek funding in developing applications.
