Using Evidence Informed Interventions to Improve Health Outcomes among People Living with HIV -Technical Assistance: This announcement solicits applications for fiscal year (FY) 2017 to support a single organization that will serve as the Evidence-Informed Interventions Coordinating Center for Technical Assistance (E2i CCTA) for a new initiative entitled Using Evidence-Informed Interventions to Improve Health Outcomes among People Living with HIV (PLWH). The goal of this four-year cooperative agreement is to identify and provide support for the implementation of evidence-informed interventions to reduce HIV-related health disparities and improve health outcomes, including increasing retention in care, improving treatment adherence, and improving viral suppression for PLWH. The project will focus on implementing effective and culturally appropriate evidence-informed interventions that will be tailored to meet the needs of the target populations, using the framework of implementation science, and assessing and adapting the interventions at interim intervals throughout the project period. These include, but are not limited to: public and nonprofit private entities involved in addressing HIV/AIDS related issues at the regional or national level; state and local governments; academic institutions; local health departments; nonprofit hospitals and outpatient clinics; community health centers receiving support under Section 330 of the PHS Act; Federally Qualified Health Centers as described in Title XIX, Section 1905 of the Social Security Act; faith-based and community-based organizations; and Indian Tribes or Tribal organizations with or without federal recognition. Foreign entities are not eligible for these HRSA awards.
