- Grant Description
- Utah Statewide Guzzler Maintenance Project is a continuation of an existing agreement JSA055013, which will expire this FY. BLM-Utah and DWR have installed hundreds of guzzlers on public land throughout the state of Utah. Wildlife, such as big game and upland game, which have grown dependent on free water available at these guzzler sites, may have to look elsewhere for water or in extreme cases may die from lack of stress, if guzzlers lack water. This project would allow for the continuation of repairing, replacing and maintaining water developments which are in poor working order or have become non-functional over time or to fill to wildlife water developments on public lands which may have become dry. This project would also provide for the installation and construction of new development.
