- Grant Description
- The State of Nevada will complete 186 acres of hazardous fuels reduction, 1,000 feet of stream management zone treated, and approximately 5,000 tons of chipped material available for the Carson City co-gen plant as alternative fuel. The hazardous fuels reduction will focus on modifying the structure, age, and species diversity of the vegetation so a wildland fire originating in the project area can be contained and suppressed within the State Park before it reaches the homes in lower Kingsbury residential neighborhood.
