Videos For Empowerment: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai (PAS Mumbai) seeks proposals for a project entitled “Videos for Empowerment.” This project aims to use the power of online videos and social media to raise awareness and call for action on issues that are important to the U.S. government and its goal to build stronger U.S.-India bilateral ties. In consultation with PAS Mumbai, a grantee will identify a local online video content creator to develop and implement a broad social media campaign consisting of a series of at least 12 short videos and other social media content including, but not limited to, tweets, Facebook posts, and other content that will raise awareness and call to action around key policy messages on any two of these key policy areas: women and girls empowerment, education and student exchange, environment and sustainable development, trafficking in persons, and corruption. The grantee will draft a plan of action on the two selected themes in close consultation with PAS Mumbai, who will advise on the concept, messaging, and content of the campaigns. Ideally, the plan should correspond with appropriate thematic days like Earth Day (April), 16 Days of Activism Against GBV (December), or International Student Week (November). (Please refer to the full announcement available under 'related documents' tab).
