Grant Description
FedBizOpps/Secretarys Forecast Summary PA04009 CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, Viral Hepatitis Integration and Intervention Projects. Approximately $2,900,000 will be available in fiscal year 2004 to fund approximately seven awards to go to the health departments of States or their bona fide agents and territories. The purpose of the program is to improve the delivery of existing viral hepatitis prevention services in programs known to serve adults and adolescents at high risk for infection; evaluate the effectiveness of strategies to deliver recommended hepatitis preventative services; evaluate the impact of integration of viral hepatitis prevention services on existing prevention services; conduct research to achieve successful integration of services and increase levels of coverage for these services; and produce materials that convey to other public health programs the lessons learned. The estimated funding date is January 1, 2004.
