- Information regarding Funding Restrictions to clarify current announcement: Funding Restriction No grant funds may be allocated to administrative or indirect costs. Indirect costs are those incurred for a common or joint purpose benefiting more than one cost objective, and not readily assignable to the cost objectives specifically benefitted, without effort disproportionate to the results achieved. Further see OMB Circular A-87 Attachment B. Fringe Benefits for Grant-Funded FTE Positions Although fringe benefits for grant-funded FTE positions are an allowable cost, no grants funds may be allocated for administrative or indirect costs. Fringe Benefits are defined as costs in the form of employer contributions or expenses for social security; employee life, health, unemployment, and workers compensation insurance (except as indicated in OMB Circular A-87 (Attachment B, No. 22), and other similar benefits for employees expected to work solely on this grant.
