Walker Basin Restoration Program: The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) intends to issue a Notice of Intent (NOI) for a Modification to Grant Agreement R10AP20007 to National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), under the authority of catalog for domestic assistance (CFDA) 15.508, Agricultural Act of 2014, Title II, Section 2507, Public Law 113-79, enacted February 7, 2014 for the following program: Providing Water to At-risk Natural Desert Terminal Lakes. The principal activity proposed for this funding is for NFWF to continue to purchase land, water appurtenant to the land, and related interests from willing sellers in the Walker River and Truckee River basins to increase freshwater inflows to Desert Terminal Lakes. This new funding will augment the existing grant (R10AP20007) funds and will be used for the same grant purposes primarily water acquisitions from willing sellers and associated contractual and administrative support. In addition, the funds will be used to continue the conservation and stewardship activity of revegetation of retired farmland acquired by NFWF. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(2 &4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
