Walking the Walk on Combating Gender-Based Violence in Myanmar: Journalist Training: The U.S. Embassy announces the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a training program for journalists to sensitize and raise awareness of media throughout the country regarding gender-based violence, and in turn, increase the amount of coverage on the topic to improve community awareness across Myanmar. In addition to improving basic journalist skills via media training, journalists from a variety of news outlets will learn how to report on this issue for print, broadcast, and digital media, ensuring a sensitive approach to the subject as well as broad reach throughout Myanmar.
