The project will address the public purpose of empowering youth and young adults to be leaders, stewards of the land, and engaged citizens who improve their communities through hands-on conservation service and education.NPS did not solicit full and open competition for this award based the following criteria:The cooperator is a member of the established 21st Century Conservation Corp Program- Youth Engagement and Development and was awarded a Cooperative Agreement P15AC00017 allowing Montana Conversation Corps desire to build upon the good record established by environmental organizations of developing youths and supporting the NPS's resources in a cost­ effective and efficient manner, especially when they have worked together in partnership with the NPS. to participate in specific tasks, and can provide the necessary activities involved in this particular task while providing an effective outcome for the National Park Service and the promotion of youth involvement. Three members of the 21st Century Conservation Corp Program were considered for this award and the Montana Conversation Corps was selected based on the Montana Conservation Corps was selected for several reasons.
