Western Governors Association development of a sustainable strategy supporting transportation planning and conservation priorities across the West: The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is accepting applications for one cooperative agreement to awardees ("Recipients") to implement policy priorities analogous to those identified through FHWA's Eco-Logical program and to utilize the Crucial Habitat Assessment Tool (CHAT). The intent of CHAT is to inform gross infrastructure planning efforts, wildlife corridor identification, and conservation planning. By putting these complementary approaches into operation in a collaborative manner, FHWA will be building on national ecosystem activities and maximizing implementation of its Eco-Logical program.
