- Grant Description
- The Office of Citizen Exchanges, Youth Programs Division, of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announces an open competition for the Youth Leadership and Teacher Professional Development Program with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to conduct U.S.-based exchange activities on civic education, leadership, and community service for high school students and teachers from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Bureau will be supporting two exchanges for 21 participants each during the course of 2012; eachexchange will be three to four weeks in duration. Applicants should apply to implement both exchanges. The Office of Public Affairs (OPA) of the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo will recruit, screen, and select the participating secondary school students and teachers. OPA and the award recipient will jointly support follow-on activities for the alumni.
