Youth Programming Spindle City Corps, 2017: Community Action Team: Employs up to 14 diverse youth working 30 hours a week during the summer months and throughout the winter months as opportunities arise. These youth will work with park staff to assist with various maintenance projects and lean about cultural stewardship with hand on experience. They also visit other NPS sites to engage and learn to understand NPS core mission. The team also provides supplemental interpretive programming for visitors and allow sites to open that are normally closed due to staffing levels. A work leader will also be funded to guide the day to day operations of the activities. Also CTI will employ one Cultural Resources support position.
