Administrative Support: Mobile American Space: The U.S. Embassy Colombo, Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) is pleased to announce an open competition for partner organizations to implement a Mobile American Space to reach youth audiences in areas beyond the Western Province, and other established American Corners, to foster connections which bolster civil society and free and independent media, in their efforts to promote democratic governance and respect for human rights among the Sri Lankan public. The Mobile Space will potentially also offer abbreviated versions of regular American Space programming like English language support, public speaking, entrepreneurial skills, leadership skills, as well as offer access to resources regularly available in American Spaces such as eLibraryUSA and EducationUSA. The mobile American Space is expected to deliver in-person programs in a minimum of 10 districts during a 30-month period, reaching over 7,000 young Sri Lankans over the course of the program.
