Airphoto Acquisition for Apostle Islands National Lakeshore- GLKN: The National Park Service will work cooperatively with Ashland County to ensure high resolution airphotos are collected, processed, and delivered covering the federal lands within the county. Airphotos will be collected during spring leaf-off conditions, geo-referenced, mosaicked, compressed, and shared with the National Park Service. The project will provide the state, counties and NPS with geospatial data to support transportation networks, emergency services, community development, agriculture, environmental and natural resource management. These data will be available on-line through public accessible map services. NPS involvement provides a mutual benefit by pooling resources in support of accomplishing mutual goals. NPS will ensure that final geospatial products are posted to Geospatial One Stop for public access. The recipient will work directly with selected vendor to carry out all contracting administration to ensure the data collection and delivery are carried out according to the specifications as described in the Wisconsin Regional Orthoimagery Consortium. Recipient will provide all products to NPS on digital media after vendor has completed collection and processing of the data. NPS will provide spatial data indicating the area of interest (AOI) for data collection, provide transportation and logistical support as necessary in ground control survey and placement of RTK GPS base stations to provide positional accuracy of data collection. NPS will conduct formal review of all goe-referenced products prior to acceptance of data products from vendor.
