Alliance of Glycobiologists for Detection of Cancer and Cancer Risk (U01): -To stimulate innovative translational research in the field of complex carbohydrates with the overall goal to uncover and develop new classes of molecular markers for early detection of cancer, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to establish a scientific consortium referred to as the Alliance of Glycobiologists for Detection of Cancer and Cancer Risk. -This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits applications for research awards designed to support a number of Tumor Glycome Laboratories that will comprise the principal components of this new consortium. -The NIH U01 cooperative agreement mechanism will be utilized for this solicitation.
