An Evaluation of Commercial Fishing Operations Within and Adjacent to Assateague Island National Seashore: This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition.
The University of Maryland agrees to:
1. Implement the research study as described in the attached proposal (Attachment A).
2. Meet with Seashore representatives and other relevant staff to review project scope, study area, available datasets, general and specific Seashore policies prior to the commencement of work.
3. Complete a detailed final report in MS Word and PDF formats that provides an overview of the project, addresses project objectives identified in Attachment A, describes data sources and methods of analysis and articulates findings for Seashore managers.
4. Secure and maintain an NPS Research and Collection Permit throughout the term of this study.
5. Provide all data and associated metadata gathered or used during this project to NPS in a mutually-agreed upon digital format.
6. Provide copies of scientific papers, presentations, posters associated with this project to NPS staff.
