Analyses of seasonal wetlands, water quality, management practices and waterbird use: Dependant upon funding availability. The investigation will collect information on wetland management, vegetation, biomass, water quality and waterbird use on over 100 seasonal wetlands. this study will describe the productivity of seasonal wetlands through description of wetland plant composition, structure, and biomass, how abiotic and biotic variables influence productivity across wetland units and specifically how wetland plant responses infuences waterfowl and shorebird distribution and abundance at the wetland unit leve. This project will quantitatively measure the status of wetland habitat management objectives that are currently measured qualitiatively and will dovetail with the development of a more comprehensive wetland habitat monitoring program that the Refuge Complex is developing and by employed to develop wetland.
