Arizona BLM Youth Conservation Opportunities on Public Lands: The BLM-AZ is seeking to establish collaborative partnerships with qualified youth conservation corps organizations to: 1. Engage individuals from diverse backgrounds (including tribal youth and veterans) between the ages of 16 and 30 to perform cost-effective conservation projects on eligible service lands, 2. Expose young men and women to public service while furthering their awareness and appreciation of the nation's natural and cultural resources, 3. Provide individuals with the specific skills and certifications to be successful and employable in natural resource careers, 4. Expand educational pathways for individuals through higher education and job-entry training opportunities, and 5. Introduce the nation's young men and women to conservation careers by exposing them to conservation professionals and mentorship opportunities in land managing agencies.
