Asthma Interventions in Public and Assisted Multifamily Housing: Because FY2011 full-year funding has not been appropriated for this program, the availability of any such funding for these programs is contingent upon future Congressional action. The overall purpose of the program is to fund demonstration projects to improve asthma control among children and others currently residing in federally assisted multifamily housing developments that are administered by local public housing authorities (i.e., public housing) as well as privately owned multifamily housing that is subsidized by HUD (e.g. Project-based Section 8, section 202, and section 811 housing).
