BJA FY 15 Firearm Locks Distribution and Safe Storage Program: The FY 2015 Firearm Locks Distribution and Safe Storage Program, administered by BJA, is designed to provide national support and promote safe firearms storage practices through the distribution of free firearm locks and safety kits and promote a greater awareness of simple precautions every gun owner can take to ensure his or her firearms don't pose a danger to children or the community. Additional Information on Eligibility
Eligible applicants are limited to for-profit organizations, nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofit or for-profit organizations), faith-based and community organizations, institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education), and consortiums. For-profit organizations must agree to waive any profit or fees for services.
BJA welcomes applications that involve collaboration between two or more entities; however, one eligible entity must be the applicant and the others must be proposed as sub-recipients. The applicant must be the entity with primary responsibility for conducting and leading the program.
