BLM CA NOI Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) and Community Fire Assistance: BLM CA awarded a financial assistance agreement for hazardous fuels reduction projects the California Fire Safe Council-CFSC in 2008. BLM has had a good working relationship for numerous years in regard to the WUI Fuels Treatment program which provides assistance to communities at risk from catastrophic wildland fires in support of the National Fire Plan implemented in 2001.
