BLM OR/WA - Clackamas and Sandy Restoration and Invasives Partnership: In 2009 the Sandy Basin Vegetation Restoration Coalition (SBVRC) identified high priority sites within the Sandy River Basin for restoration. The vision of SBVRC is to protect and restore native plant and animal communities in the Sandy River Basin through cooperative invasive species management and habitat restoration. It is a goal of the SBVRC to restore long-term processes associated with riparian and upland vegetation in conjunction with efforts to reconnect isolated aquatic habitats. The project provides multiple benefits to streams including shade, large-wood recruitment, habitat and channel complexity, and erosion control. Much of the work done in the Sandy Basin by SBVRC partners has been successful and is now moving into maintenance mode with moderate needs for invasive removal and native plant maintenance.

The 2015 Clackamas River Invasive Species Plan (CRISP) group is starting to coordinate similar efforts in the Clackamas Watershed Basin starting with 4 primary sub basins. Efforts include coordination of partners, survey and mapping, EDRR, Invasive species removal and native restoration in the basin.

The BLM is interested in supporting eligible applicants that will maintain the efforts already made and help promote similar efforts in the Clackamas Watershed Basin.
