BLM OR-WA Columbia Basin Greater Sage-grouse Distinct Population Segment (DPS) Recovery: This Funding Opportunity announcement is being advertised as a Request For Applications in order to solicit input from a wide range of interested wildlife conservation organizations. This specific support is BLM's first participation in a larger interagency initiative, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service's (NRCS) Sage-grouse Initiative. The Pheasants Forever organization will be the recipient of this initial BLM support, strengthening partnerships and managing additional federal funds from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to build field delivery, scientific knowledge, as well as communications capacity for the Sage-Grouse Initiative. Although this initial support is slated for Pheasants Forever, interested organizations are encouraged to contact the program staff and participate in the initiative.
