Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) - Request for Information on Energy Improvements at Public School Facilities: This Request for Information (RFI) is soliciting feedback from Local Education Agencies (LEAs), school staff, states, local governments, energy service companies, unions, service providers, utilities, researchers, community partners, manufacturers, and other stakeholders on issues related to program development and execution of BIL Section 40541. EERE is specifically interested in information on 1) capacity development and technical assistance needs of applicants and their stakeholders and partners; 2) how to define, assist with, and leverage the needs assessments required of applicants; 3) initial methodologies for evaluating priority eligibility and award metrics; 4) potential partnerships structures and models to achieve the goals of the provision and maximize impact; and 5) pathways and models to leverage the financial investments made with other sources of funds to reach more facilities and achieve deeper cost and energy savings and greater health outcomes. This is solely a request for information and not a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). EERE is not accepting applications. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather feedback from stakeholders prior to DOE potentially issuing a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). This RFI is not a FOA; therefore, DOE is not accepting applications at this time. All responses to this RFI must be provided as an attachment (in Microsoft Word format) to an e-mail message addressed to [email protected].
