Blm-Ut Gsenm Kaiparowits Critical Dinosaur Fossil/Site Protection Project: This is a continuation of an existing BLM Cooperative Agreement No. JSA071004 with University of Utah, which expires July 30, 2012. This project will continue to document and protect via collection, the most critical dinosaur fossil specimens in GSENM. Phase one will be extensive pedestrian field surveys that will document all scientifically significant sites in specific target areas of Kaiparowits Formation outcrops. Phase two will then proceed with collection of the highest significance sites in order that they might be salvaged for public enjoyment and scientific research. Phase three will be a comprehensive analysis of results and recommendations for future resource management, including inventory strategies and site plans for bonebeds, or other continuously productive localities.
