Botany and Rare Plant Monitoring within Death Valley National Park: This project promotes collaborative conservation activities to inventory, document and preserve the vast paleontological resources within Death Valley National Park. Personnel from GBI and NPS will collaborate to: 1.Inventory and Document specific locations within DEVA for botanical resources 2.Collect and curate specimens into the DEVA herbarium collections. 3.Work with park staff and volunteers to monitor rare plants of the Eureka Dunes. 4.Create GIS maps for the localities and population trends of rare plants within Death Valley NP. 5.Work with Park staff to develop interpretive programs around endemic plants and biodiversity within Death Valley National Park.
