CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $1,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. This NOFO aims to enhance the current capacity of NIMR by providing basic support for core functions of the National Health Laboratory Quality Assurance and Training Center (NHLQATC) which is housed within the complex, implementing an efficient research process by ensuring systematized and thorough ethical review processes are institutionalized, supporting timely dissemination of results to inform policies and practice, improving the Master (health) Facility List (MFL) which will then be maintained by the Ministry for Health (MOH), and provide support on financial and economic data use to inform CDC/PEPFAR programs by routinely collecting, analyzing, and sharing HIV/AIDS financial and economic data to the program team. This NOFO also seeks to improve health evaluation capacity within the Government of Tanzania (GOT) and support timely dissemination of results to inform policies and practice, and increase capacity of geo-spatial technology to analyze and visualize health data to inform policy and decision-making.
