Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) Supporting Anti-Torture Efforts in Tunisia: The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that support Tunisias efforts in the prevention of torture. DRL seeks to support programming that will assist the Government of Tunisia's new anti-torture authority, the National Body for the Prevention of Torture (Instance Nationale de la Prevention de la Torture, INPT), created upon Tunisia's ratification of the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture (OPCAT), in fulfilling its mandate to address and prevent torture.
