See the following for detailed information; CALL 0003 Subparagraph 1 of Topic 1, Radiation-hardened Reliable Electronics. AFRL is soliciting proposals in Radiation-hardened Reliable Electronics, subparagraph (1), specifically for radiation testing of advanced high-dielectric constant materials for gate oxides: This topic involves the development of new devices and for processing methods which will result in improved radiation hardness and long term reliability as compared to devices built using classical technological approaches. Concentrating on problems related to the gate insulator, it is anticipated that materials such as Silicon Oxi Nitrides ( SiOxNy ) and other alternative dielectrics which will be incorporated in post-45nm channel length technologies will be studied. Impact of newly developed processing techniques on standard technology process flows must be minimized so as to enable the rapid inclusion in existing technologies employed at dedicated foundries. Facilities at Kirtland AFB will be made available for the radiation testing phase of the project. ANTICIPATED FUNDING (Topic 1, Subparagraph 1: Anticipated funding for this CALL (not per contract or award) is: FY 07: $65,000.00; FY 08: $65,000.00.
