Centers of Excellence in Symptom Management Research or Centers of Excellence in Health Promotion/Disease Prevention (P30): -Purpose. The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) invites applications to establish Centers of Excellence for Symptom Management Research or Centers of Excellence in Health Promotion/Disease Prevention Research (P30). This FOA supports applications to develop interdisciplinary biobehavioral nursing research capacity in Symptom Management Research OR Health Promotion/Disease Prevention Research. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the P30 grant mechanism and runs in parallel with a FOA of identical scientific scope, RFA-NR-09-001, that solicits applications under the P20 grant mechanism., -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. Depending on availability of funds, support for this P30 FOA and the companion P20 FOA is anticipated to be approximately $2.0 million.
