Child Labor Reduction and Prevention in Tunisia: NOTE: This is a Notice of Intent. There is not an announcement related to this notice. We are not accepting applications. Subject to the availability of funds, USDOL’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) intends to provide funding for a cooperative agreement without full and open competition to the International Labor Organization (ILO) for a project to enhance capacity to prevent and reduce child labor in Tunisia. This project will include: a) awareness raising regarding hazards associated with child labor and prohibitions against child labor, b) capacity building to identify and address gaps in protections against child labor, including in current law, law enforcement and social protection programs, c) training to enhance enforcement of laws and application of policies relevant to child labor reduction, and d) piloting service coordination programs in rural areas with a high prevalence of child labor in order to create a model for preventing or removing children from hazardous labor.
