Community Intervention to Promote Abstinence and Related Life Skills Among Youth in the Republic of Botswana Under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief: Secretarys Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS06-625 CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a new funding opportunity entitled, "Community Intervention to Promote Abstinence and Related Life Skills Among Youth in the Republic of Botswana Under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief." $1,350,000 will be available in FY2006 to fund up to one award to further strengthen the national response to the HIV epidemic in Botswana, through the implementation of a multifaceted, community-based intervention focused on equipping youth with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to choose abstinence and faithfulness, and on equipping parents and other guardians to serve as more active and effective supporters of healthy choices about HIV and related issues, among those youth.
