Construction and Deployment of Pontoon Barge Mounted Vertical PIT Antennas in the Yakama River Basin, WA: Through this cooperative agreement, Reclamation and Recipient will cost share the fabrication and deployment of a vertical Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) detection antenna array, supported by a pontoon barge, in the Yakama River. It is anticipated that this innovative system will be able to detect out-migrating juvenile salmonids that may be moving in the upper portions of the water column with minimal/no impact to threatened and endangered species or human activities (such as recreation).
