Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Chesapeake Watershed CESU: The US Geological Survey, National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center (NCCWSC), is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research to support the project entitled Climate Change Synthesis, Communication, and Training Activities .

A synthesis of the impacts of climate change on natural resources around the country is needed to prioritize appropriate adaptation actions and identify where additional research is needed. Additionally, successful communication of synthesis products is also necessary to ensure acquired information is adequately implemented into policy and planning activities. This funding opportunity is being offered to assist NCCWSC with syntheses of climate change impacts from the different Department of Interior Climate Science Center (CSC) regions and provide communication products that sufficiently illustrate those impacts. This funding opportunity is also seeking assistance with training of CSC personnel regarding effective scientific communication. Such training will help prepare young scientists in the CSC network to generate rigorous science products that are also useful for decision making. The specific objectives for this proposal have been divided into 2 tasks, including 1) training and synthesis and 2) communication.
