DRL Supporting Justice and Accountability Efforts in Tunisia: This opportunity was temporarily withdrawn in order to add an application kit under "Additional Documents to be submitted" in the SAMS Domestic Portal. The application kit is now added and outlines for all applicants what documents are mandatory and what documents are optional during the uploading and submission process. The temporary removal resulted in a duplicate notice being posted for users applying via grants.gov. DRL STRONGLY advises application before 5:00 pm U.S.A.East Coast Time on January 21st via SAMS Domestic (https://mygrants.service-now.com) or via grants.gov funding opportunity number "DRLA-DRLAQM-18-022". Applications submitted after January 22 will not be accepted. The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that support Tunisian-led justice and accountability efforts. DRL's objective is to support the advancement of Tunisia's transitional justice process, in collaboration with key government and civil society partners. Program approaches may include, but are not limited to: Building the capacity of relevant institutions, government and non-government, to effectively and collaboratively implement transitional justice processes and commitments, including those outlined in the constitution and Organic Law on Establishing and Organizing Transitional Justice; Supporting key stakeholders to develop an action plan for implementation of established transitional justice commitments and recommendations, including as outlined in Part 8 of the Organic Law on Establishing Transitional Justice; Supporting the efforts of Tunisian civil society organizations to advocate for implementation of such commitments, including by building awareness of the transitional justice process and advocating for its continued advancement; Supporting government and civil society collaboration in transitional justice measures, including developing
